La Femme Rousse means "the redheaded woman" and is my personal project, which I established in 2019.

I have always been driven by a vision to create something unique and meaningful, and my own values ​​are reflected in the brand.

For me, La Femme Rousse is about originality, recycling and quality – elements that I also strive to live by in my own life.

I am Susanne Guldager, founder and creative director, and both in my private everyday life and in my work with the brand, these values ​​are my driving force.

At La Femme Rousse I create luxury fashion that can be worn with a better conscience. I believe in fewer but better products that have a longer lifespan in the wardrobe. All my designs are made from surplus materials from other fashion houses or from recycled textiles – with the exception of my alpaca knitwear. For me it’s about creating something that is not only beautiful, but also made responsibly and meaningfully.

All my products are produced by experienced hands in Portugal, Peru and Turkey.

For me, strong and respectful human relationships are essential to creating a good product.

I believe that magic happens in community. During production, I am in close contact with my producers to ensure the high level of quality that my brand is known for.

All stages of production have decades of experience supplying to premium brands, so quality and integrity are a guarantee.
